Review

The feelings of hurt, anger and fear, and the attitudes and behaviors of grief reaction, are normal and expected human responses to loss. When grief is unattended, the stress, energy drain and negative attitudes have a direct effect on employee productivity. Inefficiency, errors, slowdown, medical complaints and generally low morale all contribute to lowered work output, more time off and, in some cases, even theft and sabotage.
