Positioning Your Computer Display

The location and orientation of your display depends on the lighting characteristics in your work area, the viewing distance and angle, and glare control.

Glare control is key to avoiding eye strain and the accompanying discomfort it can cause. You should keep in mind that the best way to correct screen reflections is to remove their source. The need for antiglare screens (Figure 22-4) suggests that the workplace is not arranged or lit properly.
