Drawing with AutoShapes

Another special tool, called AutoShapes, gives you the ability to create less conventional shapes such as stars and arrows. You'll find it on the Drawing toolbar.

The AutoShapes tool can help when you need something other than a simple rectangle or oval, and PowerPoint treats an AutoShape just like any other object. You can move and resize AutoShapes, type text onto them, or copy them for use elsewhere in your presentation. Using the SHIFT key will constrain your drawings—rectangles will become squares, ovals will become circles, and so on. Use the SHIFT key whenever you want symmetrical images.
