1 Place your left index finger on

3 Remove your hands from the keyboard, and close your eyes To verify that you can find home row without looking at the keyboard.
With your eyes still closed, place your fingers on the home keys, and feel for the ridges on the

4 Open your eyes and verify that your hands are placed correctly on the home keys The four fingers of your left hand should rest on the A, S, D, and F keys. The four fingers of your right hand should rest on the J, K, L, and semicolon keys.
If necessary, practice a few times until you are successful
