6.2. One-Shot Technique

This is the easiest way you can think of, a pure hardware solution. All it takes is pushing the big red button and the camera system takes a panorama.

Traditionally, this is done with a slit-scan technique. While the camera rotates, it slides a long negative strip underneath a vertical slit-shaped aperture. It literally scans the entire surrounding in one continuous exposure.
