5.2. Effect Filters the More Effective Way

Several filters have proven to be much more effective when they are fed with HDR imagery. Compositing programs have a longer history in that area because here the filters are needed to introduce all the photographic imperfections to CG imagery. These are precisely the same imperfections that photographers are trying to suppress: grain, lens distortion, motion blur, glare, and bloom.
