INTRODUCTION

Panoramic views of a landscape or skyline help capture the vastness of the scene better than any single photo could. Digital cameras can create panoramic views by stitching together overlapping images, often with the aid of software provided by the camera vendor. In this task I show you how to shoot photos for a panorama using the Olympus Camedia C-4000.

Preparations for Panoramic Shooting

Olympus requires you to use Olympus-brand flash memory for panorama shooting. Check your camera manual to determine whether your camera can make panoramas and to learn what the requirements are.

Press the down arrow button until Panorama is highlighted.

Press the right arrow button to select Panorama.

Press the arrow button that points to the direction you will swing the camera for the rest of the photos.

Take the first photo.

TIP

Getting Help from the Camera

The arrows in the LCD display point to the direction of your next shot. Use the framing marks inside the LCD display to help you line up your shot. The boxes on the sides, top, and bottom of the display help you shoot overlapping pictures.

TIP

Take up to Ten Photos

You can take up to 10 photos in a panorama sequence with this camera model. Check your camera manual for details.
