Now that you understand some of the basic techniques, let your imagination run wild. Here are some projects you might want to consider:
Customized change-of-address cards— Moving? Make your own change-of-address cards—and include a photo of the new house! Use a postcard-sized layout for easy (and inexpensive) mailing.
Business/calling cards— How about some business cards (or simple calling cards) that include your photo?
Recipe sheets— Have some special recipes? Type them up and include photos of the finished dish. Print them out and collect them in a binder. Perhaps even share them with friends. For complex recipes, perhaps you could include some “in progress” photos, showing how to handle certain steps in the recipe. Maybe even a photo that shows what exactly you mean by a pinch of oregano.
Take photos for your eBay sales— Adding a photo to the item reportedly is great for sales! (Isolate the subject on a plain surface with a plain background for best results.)
T-shirts, coffee mugs, and more— Purchase special “paper” for your inkjet printer to create your own t-shirts. Take your photos on CD (or the camera's card) to a local photo store to have them printed on coffee mugs, aprons, and other such products.
