Here's another cool way that digital beats film: You can change the sensitivity of your camera from shot to shot. I'm not talking about how emotional your photographs are, but about the way the camera responds to light.

Unlike digital photography, film photography is based on chemicals that react to light striking them at a certain speed, and that speed represents the film's sensitivity to light. Let's imagine that a dot of chemical can carry out its little color-changing dance on a piece of film in 1 second, while another type of film takes 2 seconds for the same thing to happen.
