Know Thy Action

Every sport has a peak moment—that second when action erupts into a graceful flurry of activity. In basketball this usually happens at the hoop as someone goes for a lay-up or a dunk, or while offense and defense pirouette around each other mid-court.

Baseball's key action is usually centered around the slide into home plate, the pitcher's high-speed throw, and the swing of a bat (Figure 10.3). (Bonus points for capturing both the bat and the ball.)
