Sharp as a Tack

An unsteady hand or a vibration can cause a photograph to be a little less than sharp. (The PhotoCoach has some family members that are not too sharp, either, but that's a different story.) While it's not possible to rescue a totally out-of-focus photograph, it's easy to add a little sharpness to it.

Most of the time, though, you'll sharpen your photograph before printing it out or saving it to the Web, as both of those processes can dull the edges of an image. If you'd like to find out more about sharpening your images, turn to Chapter 8.
