Red-Eye Redux

The PhotoCoach has already gone on and on about red-eye (see Chapter 4) and how to reduce the chances of having the subjects in your photographs look like they are demons. Camera techniques for reducing red-eye aren't foolproof, though, and sometimes people will still end up with Glowing Eye Syndrome.

When you're stuck with a photograph that has some hellacious red-eye, it's time to unleash the power of software to help you out (Figure 6.2). There are dozens and dozens of photo-editing programs on the market that have red-eye reduction tools, and many of the all-in-one photo album programs include the tools as well. You can choose any of these programs to fix the glowing red eyeballs created by your camera.
