Organizing Your Photos

Start by creating a folder and calling it something like “Photos.” Open that folder and create another folder inside it to store your photographs. You can create as many folders—and as many levels of folders—as you need to logically organize your photos. Then copy each shot to the appropriate folder.

So if you were on vacation in the desert, you might make a folder in your Photos folder for that trip. Inside that folder you might create subfolders for each place you visited and copy the pictures of each place to the appropriate subfolder (Figure 5.19). If you kept a journal of your trip, you might organize the folders by date to correspond to your notes.
