Chapter 12. Photo Projects > Add Sound to Your Images

Add Sound to Your Images

Cyndi takes a lot of pictures on vacation. Sometimes she remembers to write down the name of that cathedral, or the charming man who juggled swords in Tuscany, or the name of that showy desert flower blooming in an Arizona spring. Most of the time, however, she doesn't—and regrets it bitterly.

That's why she got a camera with a sound annotation function—and thinks you might want to, as well. With a sound function, you can verbally label a picture after you shoot it. Adding sound is usually straightforward: You just turn on the record function while looking at the photo you want to annotate, and talk into the microphone on the camera. The sound file is added to your storage card just like a photo. You can transfer it right to your desktop when you transfer your images (Figure 12.14).
