Create Photo Greeting Cards

Any photo you print that meets basic postal regulations—no shorter than 3.5 inches and no wider than 6.5 inches—can be used as a postcard. We know people who create custom postcards of places they've visited and strange things they've seen. With a little more effort, you can turn that postcard concept into a family holiday card (Figure 12.2), or a more formal greeting card. All you need is a simple print template program or an imaging program that allows you to add type to the picture.

Figure 12.2. To make this holiday picture card, we resized the image working area to leave a blank area to the right of the picture. We added type, then saved the file to print it.
