Introducing Grey Scale

Another color model used by Paint Shop Pro is grey scale, which is what you use with black-and-white images. The images are not purely black and white, however; they are made up of 256 shades of grey. Any image you create can be in grey scale, and any existing image can be converted to grey scale.

Creating a New Grey Scale Image

When you create a new image, you’re required to specify the number of colors. Instead of the 16 million colors you’ve been working with so far, for a new grey scale image, you’ll specify grey scale as the image type.
