Part 9. Organizing and Presenting Your Photos > Building Printable Album Pages

Building Printable Album Pages

A traditional-style printed photo album is just one of the creations available to you. The other selections that have much the same steps as Album Pages are Slide Show, VCD with Menu, Bound Photo Book, 4-Fold Greeting Card, Photo Greeting Card, Calendar Pages, Bound Calendar, and HTML Photo Gallery.

In the Organizer, select the photos you want to include in your printed album pages.

Click the Create button.

Click Album Pages.

Click OK.

NOTE

What's a VCD?

VCD stands for Video CD--it's a CD format you can write with your computer's CD-R or CD-RW drive and play in most DVD players. VCDs work much like DVDs, but they can hold only a tenth of the data.

Choose an album style, such as Classic.

Click Next Step.

Drag and drop the photos into the order you want for the album pages.

Click Next Step.

NOTE

A 1000-Word Picture

The first photo in your grouping appears on your album's title page, so make sure it's one that reflects the spirit of the event, people, or places you're documenting in these album pages.

TIP

Selecting Photos

If you start by importing all the photos you need from a folder, you don't need to go looking for them in step 1. Regardless, you can use the buttons above the images to add, duplicate, or delete photos from the catalog in step 7.

Double-click the album title placeholder to add your own title.

Type in the new album title and click Done.

Click Next Step.

Click Save.

TIP

Output Options

After you click Save in step 12, you have the options of printing your pages, saving them in Adobe Reader (PDF) format, sending the album as an email attachment, burning a CD, or ordering professional photo prints online.

Click Print to create a printout of your album pages.

Click Print.
