Part 1. Learning the Ropes > Switching Between Quick Fix and Standard Edit Mode...

Switching Between Quick Fix and Standard Edit Modes

Photoshop Elements has two working modes. In Standard Edit mode, all of Photoshop Elements's tools and palettes are available to you. In Quick Fix mode, the program's interface is stripped down to just the controls you need to apply fast, automated edits.

Click the Quickly Fix Photos button on the welcome screen to get to Quick Fix mode, or click the Edit and Enhance Photos button to open in Standard Edit mode.

When you're in Standard Edit mode, click the Quick Fix button to switch to Quick Fix mode.

When you're in Quick Fix mode, click the Standard Edit button to switch to Standard Edit mode.
