Part 3. Basic Photo Fixing > Fixing Everything

Fixing Everything

The Smart Fix feature adjusts every aspect of the image, based on Photoshop Elements's idea of what the ideal picture should look like. It's a great way to get an idea of how much improvement you ll be able to make in a photo, even if you opt to use the Reset button and make each adjustment manually for greater control.

With the picture you want to fix in the active image area, click the Quick Fix button on the shortcuts bar.

Click the Auto button in the General Fixes section to adjust the image's color, lighting, and sharpness all at once.

If you don't like the changes Elements makes, click Reset to restore the image to its original state.

NOTE

More Fun with Quick Fix

In addition to the quick fixes shown here, you can also crop pictures and remove red-eye in Quick Fix mode by using the Crop and Red Eye Removal tools at the left side of the work area.

NOTE

Getting a Good View

Use the Zoom and Hand tools at the left of the work area to zoom in and out and move the picture around. That way, you can get a good idea of how your changes are affecting different areas of the image.
