The Appearance Palette

The Appearance palette shows a list of every characteristic of the selected object or group. Before you even create an object, the Appearance palette is recording the characteristics: The current fill, stroke, and transparency settings are automatically tracked in the palette (see Figure 32.3).

Figure 32.3. The Appearance palette allows you to track various settings, even when the individual palettes are not visible. For example, a glance at the Appearance palette can tell you the current settings in the Color, Stroke, and Transparency palettes.
