This chapter is an exploration of the capabilities you use to change color and tonality in an image. Remember the word manipulating, not correcting, in the chapter title. Indeed, much of the work done in Photoshop is improving images, making them look more natural. But that's not all there is to it. You may need (or want) a special effect. Perhaps you've decided to emphasize a color cast rather than remove it. Maybe your project requires something futuristic or spacey or retro. Understanding how the features work enables you to do with them what you will, what you need.
