Brush Settings, Pane by Pane

In the Expanded View, the brushes palette contains eight different panes or windows, and an additional five options that have no variables. Each pane is selected in the left frame or column of the palette, and the variables appear on the right. At the bottom of the palette is a preview that updates automatically as you change settings. Remember that you can click a check box to activate or deactivate a set of options, or you can click directly on the name to open the options pane (see Figure 13.19).
