Chapter 26. Working with the Four Types of Brushes

IN THIS CHAPTER

Working with Brushes

Creating and Modifying Brushes

Mastering Illustrator

Illustrator not only gives you tools with which to draw paths, but it also gives you ways to add art to those paths while you draw them. By selecting a particular brush, you can decorate your path as it is created. Illustrator offers four types of brushes, each with its own capabilities. Brushes are stored in the Brushes palette. They can be applied to existing paths to change the stroke, or they can be used to create new paths with various tools. Figure 26.1 shows the Brushes palette and several examples of each type of brush.
