Chapter 23. Creating Rollovers and Addin... > Animations and ImageReady's Export C...

Animations and ImageReady's Export Command

In addition to creating animated GIFs, you can create Flash animations in the SWF format. Exported SWF files can be posted to the Web or opened in Flash (from Macromedia) for further editing. In addition, you can also export the frames of an animation to individual files for use in Flash or another program, and you can export layers to individual files, which can also be used in Flash.

Exporting as Macromedia Flash from ImageReady

Exporting both frames and layers to individual files can give you greater flexibility when working with Macromedia Flash or Adobe's now-discontinued LiveMotion. Each frame-based file shows every layer visible in that frame. Having the individual layer content also available may make editing and fine-tuning easier.
