The Final Destinations

The vast majority of images created or prepared in Photoshop are destined for the World Wide Web or for print. The difference between the two is substantial, and the ultimate use of the image must be considered when selecting a file format.

Images created in Photoshop can also be used in a variety of other situations. For example, photographs or illustrations can be prepared for use in Microsoft PowerPoint or other presentation programs. Digital video productions can use Photoshop files for titling. Computer game production often involves Photoshop for creating textures. Templates and navigation elements for kiosk and terminal displays can be created in Photoshop, too. Word processing documents can accept images created in Photoshop.
