Chapter 6. Working with Text > Making Changes After the Fact

Making Changes After the Fact

After the text is set, you can modify it by double-clicking the text block or highlighting the text block and choosing the text editor:

  • With the text selected, you can click and drag the text block handles to rewrap the text.

  • You can use the Scale tool to resize the text.

You can also change the text by choosing Text, Font or by using other options under the Text menu. Choose Text, Size to change the font size, and choose Text, Style to apply bold, italic, underline, or plain attributes.

You can modify the text alignment, and you can open the text editor by choosing Text, Text Editor.

  • You can select multiple blocks of text and apply changes to all of them simultaneously.

  • With the text selected, you can change the color of the text block by clicking the Color box from the Color box pop-up menu.

  • You can add a stroke to a text by highlighting the text, clicking the Color box for stroke. (See Chapter 5 for more information.)

  • You can apply effects to text.
