Chapter 14. Exporting > Exporting to Generate Code

Exporting to Generate Code

The default export method in Fireworks generates an HTML file that displays your images according to the layout in your source document and contains JavaScript to make your interactive behaviors work. You do not need to understand HTML and how to write it in order to export a fully functioning web page in Fireworks. After an HTML file is generated, there is no need to change it to make it work, as long as you do not rename or move files.

Note

For more advanced coding, Fireworks also supports Cascading Style Sheet (CSS) layers, UTF-8 encoding, and XHTML.
