Chapter 12. Animation > Modifying Animation Settings

Modifying Animation Settings

When you create an animated symbol, you can re-edit the settings for your animation by selecting the instance on the first frame and choosing Modify, Animation, Animate Selection or right-clicking to see the context-sensitive pop-up menu and choosing Animation, Animate Selection. When the Animate Settings dialog box appears, you can change the number of frames, motion, direction, scale, opacity, and rotation.

Adding to the Animation

Sometimes during the animation process, when you have already tweened some instances and built an animation that you want to modify and add to, you might want to create a new object and be able to copy it onto your existing frames. This is different from tweening or sharing across all frames because each object is editable only on the frame where it appears. If you want to know what I mean, try Exercise 12.5.
