From Photoshop to Quark

You can move an image from Photoshop into Quark in two ways: pasting from the Clipboard and using the File, Get Picture command after a frame has been created. Let's look at these methods one at a time.

Pasting from Photoshop

Object Linking and Embedding (OLE) is a Microsoft invention that is not limited to use in Windows. If you run a Macintosh and own Microsoft Word, chances are that a special instance of OLE has been installed on your system. OLE is a great way to paste from Photoshop to Quark, because after an image has been pasted, you can edit it using Photoshop. To edit it in Photoshop, you simply need to double-click on the pasted image in the Quark document. Later sections of this chapter talk more about OLE-capable applications.
