Instructions for Installing Acrobat Reader 6

The Inside Photoshop CS Companion CD contains a number of Adobe Acrobat PDF files. Of particular importance are the PDF files in the Textures and Fonts folders within the Boutons folder, crammed onto the CD (okay, technically, Mr. Software Specialist-guy stuffed the CD); and eGlossary.pdf, the Online Glossary. Because PDF files are so important to the CD, we want to make sure you have a copy.

If you have already installed Photoshop, Acrobat Reader is almost certainly installed. Try opening one of the files with the .pdf file extension. If your operating system complains that it doesn't know what program to use to open the file, you probably need to install a copy of Adobe Acrobat Reader. You can find a copy of Acrobat Reader in Adobe's Photoshop CS. Or, if you want to be sure that you have the newest version of this very useful, free program, jump on the Web and download it from Adobe's site at, http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html.
