Adding Texture

We’ve already discussed one way to add texture to an image, using the Lighting Effects filter. There are other methods you can use as well, but none is quite so easy as using the Texture filters. They are all applied to an entire layer or a selection with a similar dialog box, shown in Figure 17.26. All the Texture filters (Craquelure, Grain, Mosaic Tiles, Patchwork, and Stained Glass) allow you to adjust the size of the texture and its effects so you can achieve a look that is either subtle or not-so-subtle.
