Liquify an Image

It’s cheating a little bit to put this one here instead of with the filters, but Adobe used to list it in the Image menu in Photoshop 6, so I’m going to stick with tradition and include it here. Besides, it’s so much fun, you shouldn’t have to wait another eleven hours to try it. A filter, by the way, is a series of commands that, when applied to a layer or selection, change its appearance in some manner. If you look at a person’s face through a sheer yellow cloth, for example, that person’s face looks fuzzier and a bit more yellow. That’s essentially what a filter does.

You can select from any of the filters in Elements to produce a wide range of interesting effects.
