Q&A

Q1:I get a lot of emails about cheap printer inks. Are they really just as good?
A1: Not if you’re creating art prints. They are more prone to spattering and to fading. Almost any ink will fade in direct sunlight, so be careful where you hang your best pictures.
Q2:Is it okay to use ordinary copy paper to print proofs before I print the whole job?
A2: Ask yourself exactly what it is that you’re proofing. Ink reacts differently to different paper surfaces. If you’re checking position and spelling, print it on whatever is handy. If you’re doing a critical color check, use the paper you plan to use for the final result, but consider making a half-sized print.
