Defining Brushes

Even though Elements comes with 300-odd (some very odd) brushes, sooner or later you’ll want more. As you learned earlier this hour, you can switch from one set of brushes to another by clicking the right arrow on the Brushes palette and choosing a new category. You can also add brushes to the default list by loading brush sets in the Preset Manager.

Even with all these choices, it’s fun and not especially difficult to make your own brush tips. You can also make and save your own gradients and patterns. But let’s start with brushes.
