Summary

Elements doesn’t have all the type capabilities of a more traditional desktop publishing program, but it can handle most of your typographic needs, whether producing a single headline or a small block of text precisely placed over a photo. Of course, getting the letters into the picture is only the beginning. You can warp the text, punch it out of a graphic, or make the letters out of a picture. With Elements, your words can come alive. However, don’t lose sight of your goal. Type is more than just a word or two pasted on your picture. It’s there to communicate. Even though you can go completely wild with Elements and a few dozen fonts, try to resist. If you can’t read the words, why put them there?
