Summary

In this chapter, we looked at the ideas behind XSLT and the ways XML in general can be transformed. We saw the purpose of a good number of processing elements and the ways they can be used to create SVG. We also demonstrated that data in a non-XML source (an HTML form) can be made suitable for transformation and the ways intermediate representations can be used in style sheet chains.

We also saw the way a simple XSLT application can be constructed in the Web environment, using a conventional client/server architecture.
