So far you’ve looked at a number of ways to edit paths—stroke, fill, opacity, and effects settings in the Property Inspector; position, rotation, and scaling with the Selection and Transform tools; and editing paths with the Pen and Knife tools. Fireworks MX also includes a number of other path tools to aid graphic design.
There are three tools you can use to edit the shape of a path by eye. These include the Redraw Path tool, the Freeform tool, and the Reshape Area tool in the Vector group on the Tools panel. These are very useful for smoothing out freeform paths and for making small adjustments by hand, such as changing the facial expressions on an animated character. Fireworks will adjust all the points and curves along the path for you.
