Collecting Graphics

Now you’ll go over the different ways you might collect graphics for a project using Fireworks. In the following how-to sections, you’ll go over screen shots and images on the Web, disk, scanners, digital cameras, and video clips. You’ll go over how to do everything on both Windows XP and Macintosh OS X. Some hardware requires its own drivers or software; consult the documentation that came with the product on how to install and use it.

How to Collect Images from the Web

You can use any popular Web browser to save images from Web sites. This is a great way to look for images to stand in for graphics that you don’t have yet, use water-marked comp images from stock image libraries, or share images for other image editors to work with.
