Exercises

Here’s a little more practice with some of the new skills you’ve just been working on.

  1. With the History panel see how you can combine sets of operations to create useful commands for yourself and your colleagues. (Remember that the separator line usually splits different tools or objects.) Build yourself a set of commands that will be timesaving within your specific workflow.

  2. Take some time out to learn more about JavaScript and how it works within Fireworks scripts. The more you are able to learn and understand, the more complex the scripts you will be able to create. By editing command scripts, you will have even greater control over the power of the application.

  3. Expand your knowledge of batch processing. Once you have built up your set of commands, you are able to use them as part of a batch process. With a solid working knowledge of commands and batch processing, you will almost never need to perform the same action twice.
