Preparing Your Graphic for Dynamic Content

After you have stylized your content and arranged your artwork, you will need to uniquely identify all your objects that will be accepting external content. For instance, if you have a text element that will contain a dynamic headline, you should provide that element with an id value, such as NewsStory1Headline. By providing these objects with a definitive, unique label, you can target your content to its appropriate destination.

After identifying all objects in a graphical image that are to be dynamically driven, you can prepare your graphic for its yet-to-come content. Most designers choose to design their dynamic graphics as static graphics originally, using fake text and imagery to visualize the final result; then, after the design is approved, they delete the placeholder imagery and content before exporting.
