KPT Convolver

If those initials seem familiar, they should. Convolver is another Kai creation. You could think of it as PowerTools's more practically-minded brother. Convolver has two functions: corrective and creative. If you only use it for one of these, you'll be happy with your investment, but you'll be missing half the fun. The good thing about Convolver is not so much what it does, although it's extremely powerful and definitely useful, but its biggest feature is that it brings all the tools together. When you're tweaking an image, you don't have to keep going back to the menu to get new tools. Everything's right there. If changing the saturation affects something else, you don't have to go very far to fix it.

Figure 19.7 shows Convolver in Tweak mode (your other two choices are Explore and Design.) The large central diamond is the Preview window; the smaller one above is called the Current Kernel Tile and is used to select a portion of the image to mutate in Explore mode.
