Summary

Photoshop doesn't have all of the type capabilities of a more traditional desktop publishing program, but it can handle setting a short headline or title. It's not designed to do more than basic formatting, though. Of course, getting the letters into the picture is only the beginning. After you have the type on the page, you can apply all of Photoshop's filters, blending modes, and tools to it. If you want to set type, use a program such as PageMaker. If you want to do strange and wonderful things to type, Photoshop has all the tools you need.
