Lesson 11. Integrating with Dreamweaver ... > Exporting your Pages for Dreamweaver

Exporting your Pages for Dreamweaver

In Lesson 8, you learned how to set the optimization for slices and export your pages as HTML. At this point, you have exported only one of the pages, and you saved the exported files in the Lesson08 folder. That was fine for learning the exporting process, but now you want to export all of your pages and create a cohesive Web site. The Web site referred to in this book is the local storage location of your files. Typically, you store your files in a folder on your local disk. Within that folder, you can then create subfolders to further organize your files. For example, you can put product pages in one folder and company information in another. In this exercise, you will export all of your Fireworks files and save them in a folder.

Organizing your files in a folder enables you to easily upload your files to the Web server. You can then copy the entire folder to the Web server, or you can use the FTP feature in Dreamweaver to upload the files to the Web server.
