Chapter 6. Printing Photos > To print photos

To print photos

1.
Select one or more photos to print.

Either choose Print from the File menu (), or click the Print button in the organize pane.

iPhoto displays the Print dialog(Figure 6.1).

From the Presets pop-up menu, choose appropriate settings (the contents are printer-specific). If you don't like the presets, you can access all available settings by clicking Advanced Options.

From the Style menu, choose the desired style: Contact Sheet, Full Page, Greeting Card, N-Up, Sampler, or Standard Prints.

Set the options for the style you selected.

6.
Enter the number of copies to print.

7.
Click the Print button.

iPhoto sends your photos to the printer.

✓ Tips

  • In book mode, choosing Print from the File menu lets you print book pages that mix photos and text on a single page.

  • If you see a yellow warning icon in the Print dialog, see “Dealing with Warning Icons” in Chapter 9, “Troubleshooting.”

  • If necessary, iPhoto shrinks images proportionally to fit, thus increasing the border size.

  • Save changes made in Advanced Options for repeated use by choosing Save As from the Presets menu while you're viewing the Advanced Options settings.
