Chapter 7. Creating Books > To order a book

To order a book

Select the book you want to order, and verify that each page looks right.

Make sure you're connected to the Internet, and click the Buy Book button.

iPhoto assembles the book, warning you if some photos won't print well, if some default text hasn't been edited (Figure 7.30), if other text doesn't fit, or if your book is too short.

Figure 7.30. If you haven't edited some of iPhoto's default text, it warns you with this dialog.

iPhoto then opens the Order Book window (Figure 7.31).

For hardcover books, choose a cover color from the Cover Color pop-up menu.

Enter the number of books you want to order in the Quantity field.

iPhoto automatically updates the total cost as you add and subtract books.

Choose the appropriate shipping address and method from the Ship To and Ship Via pop-up menus.

Click the Buy Now button.

iPhoto uploads your pictures and alerts you when it's done.

Pricing and Shipping Details

Book and shipping prices vary by style, size and number of pages; read Apple's pricing page at www.apple.com/ilife/iphoto/books/prices.html for details.

You can have books delivered not just to U.S. and Canadian addresses, but also to addresses in Japan and some European countries. For updates on where you can send books, visit Apple's iPhoto Web page at www.apple.com/iphoto/.

Additional books shipped to the same address don't incur the full shipping charges, instead increasing your total by $0.48 to $1.00 per book, depending on the size and style of the book.
