Ways to enter edit mode

  • Select a photo in any mode, and click the Edit button under the display pane.

    iPhoto switches to edit mode with the selected image in the display pane.

  • Double-click a photo in organize mode or slideshow mode, or double-click a photo twice in book mode.

    iPhoto switches to edit mode and displays the photo according to the setting in the Preferences window.

  • -double-click a photo in any mode to open the photo in either the display pane or a separate window, whichever is not the default in iPhoto's preferences.

  • -click a photo in organize mode, and choose one of the editing commands from the contextual menu that appears. (Figure 4.3). Book mode offers a slightly different contextual menu.
