Chapter 3. Organizing Photos > To change the date of a film roll

To change the date of a film roll

1.
Make sure you're in the Library with film rolls and the Information pane showing, and then click a film roll in the display pane to select it.

2.
In the Information pane, enter a new date and time for the film roll in the Date and Time fields (Figure 3.11).

iPhoto changes the date and time of the film roll in the display pane and re-sorts the film rolls to put the one you edited in the proper order.

✓ Tips

  • Although iPhoto recognizes a large number of date formats, it ignores improperly formatted dates, so to avoid confusion, it's easiest to edit the date using the same date format iPhoto uses.

  • After you change the date of a film roll, iPhoto sorts it according to the new date, so it will probably move to a new location in the display pane.
