Although the color is fairly similar in the images, the composition looks kind of flat overall because the colors are so neutral. To fix that, we're going to convert it to black and white to give it more of an artistic look. In the Layers palette, ensure the top layer is active, then choose Channel Mixer from the Create New Adjustment Layer pop-up menu at the bottom of the Layers palette. When the dialog appears, turn on the Monochrome checkbox.
