Chapter 10. Color Manipulation > Digging a Little Deeper

Digging a Little Deeper

The blending sliders are covered in much more detail in Chapter 14, “Collage.”

If you ever need to go back to re-edit a Hue/Saturation adjustment layer that you created earlier, you'll need to be extra careful. You can double-click on the adjustment layer icon on the left side of the adjustment layer to change the adjustment. But, before you start to make changes, you'll need to choose the same color you originally chose from the Edit pop-up menu; otherwise, any changes you make will affect the entire image because the Edit pop-up menu will be set to Master. If you can't remember which color you worked on previously, then glance at the color strips at the bottom of the dialog box to see if you can figure out which areas in the bottom strip are different than the top one (Figure 10.36). Then look at the top strip directly above that area to figure out which color to choose from the Edit pop-up menu. Once you choose the proper color from that pop-up menu, Photoshop will get you back to adjusting the specific color you isolated when you originally created the adjustment layer.
