Chapter 15. Collage > Creating a Panoramic Image with Photomerge

Creating a Panoramic Image with Photomerge

A quick way to remove a Layer Mask is to drag its thumbnail to the trashcan icon that is located at the bottom of the Layers palette.

The Photomerge feature attempts to automate the process of combining images into a seamless panoramic. To start creating your own panoramic images, open the images in Photoshop and then choose File > Automate > Photomerge. The initial Photomerge dialog box will prompt you to specify which images you'd like to use to create a panoramic (Figure 15.89). Because you've already opened the images you want to use, just set the Use pop-up menu to Open Files. Next, turn on the Attempt to Automatically Arrange Source Images check box so that Photomerge will try to line up each image automatically. Once you click the OK button in the initial Photomerge dialog box, Photoshop will chug for quite a while, and then you will be sent to the main Photomerge interface (Figure 15.90).
